Hi Everyone. I am a new TS owner of a substainal amount of Fairfield Fairshare Points. I have been told that these are able to be used through RCI. Is this true? If so, do I get the same number of points through RCI or is there some type of conversion. For Example: Is it like 100,000 fairfield pts = 100,00 RCI pts or more like 100,000 fairfield pts = 50,000 RCI pts?

Trying to plan my vacation, so any help would be appreicated. Thanks.

Unless you are in the Plus Partners (I think its called) program you get to use RCI Weeks not RCI Points. Still a good deal but there's no direct conversion from FSP Points to RCI Weeks. It's on a per case basis.

My points are Fairfield Fairshare Plus points. I have 605,000pts for $4100. I thought it was a good deal. I plan on traveling with a group of 7-12 person to Disney annually over the next 3-4 years. Can these points I bought be used through RCI for airfares? Disney Tickets?, Etc.

Only if you have the Plus Partners feature as part of your Wyn account. If you bought your points resale, it will not be part of your account. If you bought directly from Wyn, then it should be part of your account.

If you do not have it and want it, Wyn charges $2395 to add it to your account.

I believe they will take your money anytime.

Most however seem to think the plus partners benefits are not worth the $2,400. Better deals are available by just paying for them alone.

You got that right. But I'm reading between the lines that the OP purchased retail and is beyond rescind time. So they might as well use what they paid dearly for.

Fairfield Plus/RCI Points

According to my RCI/Fairshare Plus book you would bank your Fairfield Plus points with RCI to ecxhange. You choose the type of unit you want (Studio, 1 BR, 2BR) and Season (Red, White , or Blue). A Studio Blue would cost you 28,000 points. A red Season 2 BR would cost 154,000 points. Hope this helps.

You did mention Disney which is where one of Wyndham's better properties is located: Bonnett Creek. It's the closest non-Disney timeshare to Disney World. In fact, it's so close you can view the Epcot fireworks from your balcony if you have the right angle. Use the Wyndham system for all its worth and don't get too caught up in utlizing the RCI benefits. Once they did away with the visible deposit system I found depositing points for RCI weeks to be very inconvenient to use. You have to call to check availability and even with bulk spacebanking of weeks, I've found very little in the way of good trades lately.

True. But the original poster was asking about using Plus Partners to book RCI Points resorts. Like the Weeks exchange, the schedule of FSP points needed to book RCI Points resorts is the same. Unlike Weeks exchanges, you can book from 1 to 7 plus days at the RCI Points resorts.

However, only Wyn accounts with the Plus Partners feature can book these RCI Points resorts. If someone buys a Wyn account resale, that feature is not part of their Wyn account. They have to pay to add it.

Welcome to TUGs. This is a great place to learn about your points and timesharing.

Yes, that is a sizable lot of Fairfield Points. But Fairfield is now called Wyndham FSP (FairShare Plus) Points. One poster thought you might have brought these from the developer, but your price at $4100 is a resale price.
Another important question, is this one home resort or multiple resorts? Did you perhaps buy this from an immediate relative (as developer brought points benefits can be to transfer between immediate family members)?

Wanting to stay at a particular area with a large group (3 or more bdrs is large) may require a home resort advantage for school vacation seasons in Orlando. ==> this is where your deeds are and who sets your maintenance fees.

Some of the answers you're getting here may be adding to the confusion.

Your FSP points can be exchanged for RCI Weeks, which is likely to work just fine for you without the Plus Partners feature (which few people buy).

You don't necessarily need to deposit 154,000 points to get a red 2-BR exchange. It's more a matter of supply and demand, and I've gotten very good trades variously with 28,000 70,000 and 105,000 (which is as high as I've ever gone).
