I’m interested in purchasing timeshare points as a means to rent days/weeks as a side income. I’m familiar with Wyndham and done a lot of research on their properties and ownership. Recently, I was told about an owner who owns through RCI. She said that she doesn’t have to pay monthly maintenance fees, and declined purchasing Wyndham because of the maintenance fees. Her rental fees would just cover maintenance costs for the specific number of points that the rental would require if she owned through Wyndham.

Can anyone give me some advice about purchasing RCI points, or is there a better option out there? Is ebay the best place to purchase these points? Is there a list of RCI properties and the point system like Wyndham’s Members Directory?

Good luck with making a profit. Most cheap timeshares have a hard time renting them to cover their maintenance fees. The ones that have good rental value are hard to come by or very expensive.

Don't waste your time. What you suggest is most often a losing proposition...
