New notification in the HGV portal as of July 08. Anybody have information on how this works? Is this included with the stay, or is this a paid meal package deal?

Heh, I’m pretty sure this is an extra fee and not an included benefit. But maybe I’ll be proven wrong.

I have not received any communications from HGV for this program - Will be headed to MBV (Owner) and Kings’ Land (member) in Sept. We shall soon find out. Thank You for the post

I saw a long discussion about this on FB. Its really just a box with an Owner exclusive bundle offer on the menu. Like an Pre Fixe offer only available to owners. Here is a picture someone posted from SeaWorld.

$40 for a pretzel, burger and beer for 1 person? $80 for 2? Yikes.

FWIW...we enjoyed eating breakfast at the pool at Elara this summer. They had a member special of $10 pp. Well worth it.

Reef Pretzel?

I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the marketing department when that conversation took place.

A: "Hey, the Sysco truck left us with these boxes of pretzels. How can we brand them to make them fit with our aquatic theme?"

B: "How about... Reef Pretzels?"

A: "Magnificent!"

A: "Now, the Sysco truck also dropped off a bunch of corn chips with vegetable oil yellow-colored sauce. How can these fit into our aquatic theme?"

B: "How about... Reef Nachos?"

A: "You... you're a genius!"

This is a great motivational tool to get people to explore new options for lunch/dinner off property or to make use of food delivery options. If we all stop eating at the property for a few months they will get the message that we don't like it.

How to get rid of a nice benefit (10% discount) by showcasing a more expensive, very limited option that is a downgrade and not a benefit at all. In effect, take away a much used benefit and poorly disguise the downgrade as an improvement. Seems like a timeshare salesperson pushed this lose-lose idea.

I feel sorry for the wings they didn’t get a name. Should be 6 Reef Wings to be fair.

They will simply stop offering it and that will make them happy because they can save Hilton money.

Are the Reef wings from Chickens of the Sea?

Don't bother with the 2 for 1 breakfast buffet offer, enjoy a peaceful breakfast in your unit on the Lanai with some nice Kona coffee.
