After months of receiving emails & fliers about the new HICV booking site I decided to take the plunge and set up my account on the new site. Here are my thoughts:

1. The advertising for the portal makes it look like it may be app for a phone, it is not. It's just website that is mobile friendly.
2. I originally thought that my existing account would work on the new site, that wasn't the case. I HAD to register again. The OKTA identity verification is not configured very well, the error/warning messages are not very meaningful to me.
3. The new portal is not fully functional; it does not contain the MaxTime deals. This omission, for me, is significant since I typically use it to book my trips. I only have 50k point package.

While HICV may see this site as progress, I'm not sure why they would omit certain features and refer members back to the old site for certain functionality. While there are drawbacks with the new site. There may be some usability features that I am not seeing. Any site features worth using? Maybe they will add the MaxTime deals, otherwise I'm just going to keep using the old site.

You can search on a number of selected resorts, vs one only or all only on the old site. That is an improvement for me. But other details are only available on the old site. I have both saved, and visit the new site to search, but do everything else on the old one.
