We are at Bay Club now and considered driving over tomorrow to check it out, but realized that it's not really visible unless you go at night. We did a previous vacation here that was 100% in the park so unless we can see lava flowing we probably won't bother. It did seem really exciting when we heard about it this morning, so maybe it'll pick up and be worth a trip over.
And getting worse today. We were going to do a hike near Kona, but the lack of visibility combined with it being quite hot with no breeze has resulted in a change of plans. It's a good day to stick my face in the water and snorkel instead.
