Hey Gang,

I just purchased a 2br lock-out, every other year, PLATINUM, float week at the Horizon Branson for $1,000. How did I do?

I think that's a great price. I paid $2,400 last year for an EOY Gold week. It's definitely a great time to buy with the economy the way it is.

Where did you pick up the week? $1000 is a good price. EOY weeks tend to go for about a little less than half of every year weeks on the resale market. I think the cheapest every year platinum I have seen is around $2500. I have seen a Branson silver week re-listed three times on E-Bay after winning bids around $100. Branson is going real cheap right now. The resort is a good value with lock off and low MFs. Congratulations on your purchase.

That's a good price, but I'm betting that even if you book a prime summer week the trade power will be so-so...just like the Manor Club in overbuilt Williamsburg, where I owned (but got rid of it when m.f. kept going up and up). What's your m.f. for that two br lockoff?

I own 2 weeks in Branson. The one that is in I.I. actually trades surprisingly well considering it's select resort. The trick is to reserve a July week before depositing. Reports from other Horizon's owners in Branson on these forums seem to indicate that it does very well within the Marriott system.
