New Hilton Head sales center almost complete

I drove by to see how the new sales center is coming along since we were last on the island in August. I thought others might want to see too.

We are at Harbour Club now and will be doing a sales presentation at SurfWatch on Monday. They told us that the new sales center near Grande Ocean will be in operation beginning January 1.

No way finished by January 1

Unless they work some significant overtime during the next few days it won't be opening on January 1. The interior is not completed yet, let alone furnishings etc. I would think in a month or two is more likely. I could see them ensuring it is complete before the Heritage tournament as that is when the island picks up more people visiting heading toward the very busy summer.

On another note I was surprised that the new Hilton timeshare down the street does not have a sales center yet. The structure is all up and now they will start to enclose it. It is extremely close to the building next door though! I feel sorry for those owners. What used to be a great open view and sun shining on both sides to now a dark shadow cast all day long on one side. It reinforces to me why it is so important to check around a property before buying. We looked at it and thought is was great buy until we checked with the county and saw it was possible build on the old adventure timeshare site that as there.

Is the new Hilton Grande Vacations next door to Grande Ocean? Is the building extremely too close to the other building involve Grande Ocean or another property? Thanks!

It's not right next door to Grande Ocean. And yes, it is on the old Adventure Inn site.

I thought we figured out in past threads that the new HGVC "Ocean Oak Resort" is on the site of the former Adventure Inn, which is adjacent to Grande Ocean? Although, I took Phillie's post to mean that the building being adversely affected by the new HGVC resort is on the other side of that property, not the Grande Ocean side.

Sorry, for the confusion, MGO is uneffected. The effected building is a four or five story condo on the north side, closer to Coligny, that is adjacent to the adventure timeshare property.

We attended a presentation at SurfWatch today. The salesman told us that the new sales center is scheduled to open January 14 or 15, but he is skeptical that it will be ready before mid-February.
