I just joined and a little unsure of where to post. I would like to ask some questions about how to rent, sell or give back my time share. My name says i am guest, but I joined and paid.

You will get an email with a code you can put in your 'User Control Panel- I think. It's been so long since I joined that I forget.

Anyway, look through the 'stickies' in the buying, selling, renting forum. That's a good place to start.

Welcome to TUG!

Welcome To TUG & TUG-BBS.

I would like to ask some questions about how to rent, sell or give back my time share.
Timeshare resorts are not required to accept deedbacks. Some do, some don't. Can't hurt to ask.

By contrast, timeshare companies -- timeshare development companies, that is, which build & sell timeshares, as distinct from the actual timeshare resorts (the 2 are not the same) -- practically never take'm back. The timeshare companies only sell'm.

Full Disclosure: With the resort's permission & cooperation, we deeded back a timeshare week we no longer wanted to keep & knew we could not sell (because nobody would want to buy it). That was in 2010.

Not paying dues

We own Diamond points. Has anyone just quit paying your dues? What did they do?

Has anyone sold their points for someone else to use? How?

If you believe what DRI's CEO, Cloobeck, said when he was the subject of 'Undercover Boss' TV show, he'll take back whatever you've got if you aren't satisfied. Carefully note that I'm not holding my breath.

I have a hunch, though if you just stop paying MFs, they will turn you over to collection.

If your 'dues' or MF isn't current, you can neither book into a resort, or give/sell/rent them to anyone else.

Best wishes.

It might not hurt to post them in the marketplace and in "bargain deals" forum just in case someone wants to adopt them.
