After an almost two year gap, Yellowstone Season 5 part B resumed this past weekend. For all the Yellowstone fans out there, are you excited to see it come back? Or had you kind of moved on during the long gap?

I enjoyed the episode, and will watch the rest of the season. But I am ready for this version to end. At least for me its time for new stories and characters..

I just realized that I had not finished 1923 Season 1 so binge watched those and enjoyed them. Looking forward to the next season when released.

Will watch Yellowstone and see. However I have forgotten a lot of the story. Was still interesting last time I watched.

Will not watch new Outlander. IMHO the story is overcooked and campy.

thought the first episode was a bit lackluster given the delay between seasons myself....but can understand the challenge of having to pivot the story with costner not returning.

Are there other shows you'd compare Yellowstone to? We haven't watched it yet and wondering if the series is worth investing the time on? We tend to watch a lot of British shows on Britbox and Acorn.

After 40+ years of T/S ownership, I am no longer "an owner"
We are fans and were happy to see its return this past Sunday. Also looking forward to the return of 1923 . . . and whatever other new series spinning off the Yellowstone franchise. We're still bummed they ended 1883 however, as it was really well written and performed.

its quite a violent/dark drama.... hard to compare it to anything. maybe breaking bad? just replace the drugs with real estate!

If you have Paramount+ Taylor Sheridan (the writer) has lots of series that compare, he has become a very prolific writer after being an actor.

I'm looking forward to his latest with Billy Bob Thorton about the oil industry, Landman.

I think 1883 might have been favorite of the group. But alas it was only a single season. I do like 1923, but wish they would move the storyline about the son traveling abroad faster..

I am also looking forward to the one with Billy Bob Thorton the promos look really interesting.

Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone has grown on me.. I think this season is better than the first one.

You might want to watch Tulsa King (with Sylvester Stallone), another Taylor Sheridan work which just finished its second season.

We are also watching Lioness.

We no longer have Paramount or any cable tv so can’t watch it unfortunately.

We loved the show, but I must say the prior two seasons were not as good as the initial ones.

Maybe in a few more years it will come on another station like Pluto which is free.

Really?

But I’m not sure we have CBS either. I do see some CBS channels but not sure they are the same as on cable tv.

When Paramount first brought out Yellowstone a few years ago it was shown on the Paramount Network on cable and satellite. In a move that surprised the industry, streaming rights for Yellowstone were assigned to NBC's Peacock streaming service. It was speculated that this was because it had a lot more viewers than CBS's own streamer. (I can't now recall the name of CBS' streaming outlet at the time, "CBS Now", or something in that vein. It was eventually taken down, given more content, and returned as Paramount Plus). All the subsequent spin-offs in the "Yellowstone Universe" have been kept in-house on Paramount Plus.

Peacock still has right to stream new Yellowstone seasons as they are released, several months after they have been run on Paramount Network. So Peacock currently has seasons 1-4 and pre-Covid episodes 1-8 of season 5. It won't get the final episodes until some time after they have been run on Paramount Network.

Paramount chose to run the first of the final new Yellowstone episodes on CBS last Sunday, two hours after it premiered on Paramount Network on cable/satellite. This was reportedly just as a "promo" or "teaser" with the remaining episodes only to be released to the Paramount cable channel. After a few months they will then go to Peacock.

We are fans of Yellowstone, and we enjoyed the first episode of the season. I knew they would have to kill off John Dutton - under the circumstances, it was all that they could do. But I think it worked well.
