:cheer: OK - who's the person who always raves about Bubba's whenever Kauai food or restaurants are mentioned????

After countless visits to Kauai, we have finally visited one (the Bubba's in Kuku'iola marketplace - South shore) and now understand the hype. Went back two days later to try more on the menu!

Our biggest reasons to like Bubba's are:

they use Kauai grass-fed beef! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
their fries are excellent and not over-salted..
the people were friendly
and No. 1 reason... the prices were amazingly good!!! $5.00 for a 1/3 lb. grass-fed burger! $2.50 fries! chile, onion rings, and more...

What's not to like about this??
Thanks for your constant reiterations of how wonderful it is because that made us try it!! You know who you are :D

There are a few of us who love Bubba's. I won't take all of the credit. My mother-in-law (85 yo) orders the double slopper, and she eats like a bird. She absolutely loves those burgers. The fries are very good, too. I am on a low-carb diet and have to stay away from the fries and eat only the burger from now on.

The shakes are good, too.

Oh yeah, the shakes ARE good :)

Funny story.... the second time we were there we ate at the counter...A man picked up his order, looked at it and said "This can't possibly be what my wife ordered...we are leaving on a plane in a couple hours and no one would want to eat this first!" Turned out she meant to order a Double Bubba (1/3 lb burger) and got the Hubba Bubba instead (rice, burger, hot dog all smothered in chile!!)

They were willing to re-make the burger for them - I'm sure other passengers were grateful :D

40 more days and I'll be getting a double slopper.:D Gotta go at least once
every time we're on Kauai. Don't really know if they're that good or if
everything just tastes better in Hawaii.:D

Yummm....now you got me wanting to go to Kauai!!!! It's been over 10 years, so I think we're due. We probably ate at Bubba Burgers 5 out of 7 days we were there, we loved it so much!

We ate there on our visit to the North Shore. The food was delicious! I had to admit to being a bit wary as it looks kinda like a road side stand but I am really glad we tried it.

Never would have without the recommendations here on TUG. Will definitely go there again.
