Hi all. We will be in Timber Lodge, Lake Tahoe next month for a week of skiing. I called the "Rooms Coordinator" and left a message with our location request. We are a family of four and exchanged our Surf Club unit for a 1BR although of course we would much rather have a 2BR (or even 3BR 
) . I had been told to keep calling II as they might have a cancellation for a larger unit come through...no luck yet but I am certainly going to keep trying. Has anyone had any luck upgrading close to check-in time through II?
I checked on the Marriott.com website and there are 2BR units available the week we are there. Do I have ANY shot calling Marriott and seeing if I can upgrade to the 2BR? Only issue is through II it would only be $75...who knows what Marriott will charge? Also any chance of calling the resort directly (maybe speak to Rooms Coordinator or front desk) about upgrading to 2BR?
Bottom line is we are very happy with 1BR...we would be ECSTATIC with a 2BR!!!
