I need your advice... I won an ebay bid for 24 Disney Trading pins. The item # is 180269124183. I found it strange that the seller had so many adds for pins but only one feedback. But I figured I would take a chance for $10 (It would have been a good deal).
Unfortunately, I am new to ebay and I don't know what to do. The add said it accepted Paypal but Paypal wouldn't allow the payment to go through and said that the seller is not elligable to receive funds and that he/she is located in Peru! What do I do?
Thanks in advance,
Sandra

Tell Seller To Sign Up With PayPal ?

In that spot I guess I would use the eBay Contact Seller form to ask the seller whussup with his or her PayPal membership, to verify the E-Mail address he or she uses for receiving payment, & (if necessary) to set up an account he or she can use to accept eBay item payments via PayPal.

BTW, last time we were timeshare vacationing in Orlando, we snagged a bunch of Disney trading pins for our grandnieces via Craig's List. We used our new (Christmas gift) TomTom portable GPS navigator to find the address where we met the seller & bought some outstanding pins.

The actual Disney pins turned out to be 100% authentic -- the genuine article & the real deal.

This is what seller post on eBay regarding payment
WE ACCEPT ALL MAJOR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS & paypal through ccnow, AFTER THE AUCTION FINISHES, YOU WILL RECEIVED AN INVOICE WHICH CONTAIN THE PAYMENT LINK WITHIN 24HOURS AFTER RECEIVED WINNING BUYER NOTIFICATION FROM EBAY, YOU MUST WAIT FOR AN INVOICE TO COMPLETE THE PAYMENT THRU CCNOW

If I want to buy, and read this, I will first try to google all this "ccnow" before I even try to send them any of my paypal or credit card info.

Yes, that is the thing about Disney pins on E-bay most of them are not authentic Disney pins they are copies. You can still trade with them because most cast members don't take the time to check to see if they are authentic or not (although some do and some won't trade if they are not). Authentic Disney pins are collectors items.

Try emailing both PayPal and Ebay through their Contact Us link. I would NOT do the CCNOW thing - sounds VERY fishy - as Jya-Ning says, do NOT put any of your credit card or PayPal info into the CCNOW site.

If the real PayPal site doesn't take payment, then this may be a scam.

You could also try emailing fraud@ebay.com or scam@ebay.com and the same at paypal.com. I'm not sure those addresses work, but I used them years ago.

Authentic Disney pins are collectors items.

All of them?

We collect them (as in spend tons of money on them) at Disney, and not all of them are collectors items, IMHO. I guess it depends on your definition of "collectors items". We just get the ones we like for ourselves.

The people working the pin trading carts at Disney check the pins for authenticity.

I would be very skeptical. The pins are most likely knock-offs. The auction claims the items are located in the US, but the seller is in Peru? I know this is sometimes the case with foreign sellers, but with the lack of feedback and the PayPal problem, I'd be careful.
But...if you don't mind a $19.99 gamble, it may work out just fine.

How can you tell if the pins are authentic or not?

The cast members working at the pin trading carts looked at the material and the backs. On the backs of the authentic pins there's a disney trademark, etc. They may have been looking for other signs also, but I don't know what they are.
