Need Direction. [Renting Villa de Santa Fe TS]

I have rented my Villa de Santa Fe property several times but now that it belongs to HVC, I understand renting is against their rules. How are TUG members handling this? I will not be able to use the timeshare this year so would like to rent it. I've done it successfully both with a TUG posting and privately. Now I'm worried about being punished somehow by Hilton for trying to rent.
 
Ive not seen anything official that prohibits renting of hilton vacation club/diamond resorts ownerships?

did you get some sort of letter?

No, I read it somewhere in their rules and regs just recently. Sorry, I don't remember exactly where or when but it caught my eye because I want to rent it this season. I have it posted at TUG but haven't had any interest (which was not the case in the past) so I wondered if this was in any way connected with Hilton not allowing renters. In the past I have advised renters to introduce themselves as guests of the owner, not as renters.

It's not related - the rental market is extremely slow right now due to all the big changes taking place in the US.

Thanks! Villas de Santa Fe is a friendly, well-placed resort in a beautiful city and it usually sparks some interest. Good to know it's just the times!
 
It may also depend on whether this is Deeded Property or you are using Points to make a Reservation. Then renting out the Points Reservation.
