We recently purchased a week 10 at Orange Lake WV, from ebay. We have the deed etc. Is is a little tricky for us to go week 10 this year, week 11 would be perfect. My question is this, is it worth our while to join RCI to try to trade our week for something in week 11, given that it's only 4 months away? Ideally we would like to go to the Caribbean (anywhere) or somewhere in Florida. Our week is a fixed week, week 10, 2 bedrooms in WV.

Thanks for any advice.

It's probably too late to find something in the Caribbean for week 11 2016. Using RCI is all about long term planning or last minute planning if you are very flexible. South Florida is going to be difficult. Another Orlando resort or the same one but the next week shouldn't be difficult but you would still want to do it as soon as possible.

Buying a fixed week for a week you can rarely if ever use was probably a mistake. An RCI membership is about $90 and the exchange fee is $209 US. I think the fees are $20-30 more in Canadian.

Thanks for your advise. We are only having problems using it this year. As we just bought it and got the paperwork.

If by week 11, you mean check in dates of Mar 11, 12, 13
there are a few units available in the Caribbean.

What size unit would you like?

I limited the results to Gold Crown resorts, and All-Inclusive Optional.
I will post the results in the Sightings section for you.

The deposit calculator for Resort #0670 shows that you would have received a maximum of 28 Trade Power Units (TPU) had you been able to deposit early; if you deposit right now, you will receive 25 TPU.
