We have a wedding to attend outside of Nashville on Oct 16. We would like to spend a week in the area-covering both Memphis and Nashville. I am looking for itinerary suggestions- how many nights in each, restaurants, etc. Hotels, AirBNB, etc
Thanks

As a native Tennessean, I'm not a fan of Memphis. Unless there is something in particular you're interested in, I'd concentrate on Nashville or points east. Unfortunately, I'll not much help with Nashville either, since I only go there for work or to fly out of their airport (on Southwest, which doesn't serve my local airport). You'll be early for leaf peeping, but there may be some fall festivals going on. What sort of things are you interested in? Cheekwood is on my to-do list, and I've never been to the Grand Ol' Opry, in spite of living a couple of hundred miles from it for 65 years.

If you come to Memphis - Sun Studios and the Civil Rights Museum are must dos. There are other things like the Bass Pro shop in the Pyramid and local microbreweries if you're into that sort of thing.
