I am trying to find the name of the Westin resort next to the Barony Beach. Can anyone help? Also, is this a timeshare resort or only a hotel?

I think it is just called the Westin Hilton Head. It is only a hotel, not a timeshare, great location....I was there 3 years ago and it was in need of some updating, but still pretty good.

I believe it is a hotel only and it's name is The Westin Hilton Head Island resort & spa.

There's the Sheraton Broadway Plantation in Myrtle Beach. It's not a Westin, but it's pretty nice. The villas are large and it's in a good location.

There are two Starwood timeshares on the East coast. Niether one is a Westin Brand. The first is Sheraton Broadway Plantation at Myrtle Beach, but its located about 10 blocks from the beach. The second is Vistana Beach Club in Florida, its older....but directly on the ocean.

I have been around timeshares long enough to know what resort you mean and it is called Ocean Palms at the Westin to the right of Barony Beach. It is in the same lot as Royal Dunes and they have full use of Westin Hotel facilities which is to the left of Barony. At one time I thought Westin owned it outright but it may have changed ownership retaining use of facility rights.

The timeshare is fractional ownership I toured a unit last year and they plan a remodel soon. The unit I toured was tired but the location is nice. They are 2 and I though also had 3 bedrooms. I think may still have the map with a price sheet.

All you need to do is drive into the lot and there is normally a unit open with a sign. The management company is going to build on Daufauskie Island as well. We tried to also see a unit at Royal Dunes but they were fully booked on Columbus Day weekend.

We met someone who owned at OP and they love it there. Short walk to the beach.

Ok, thanks! A quick question, these are fractional units...is there much difference between those and the traditional timeshare weeks? Ok, just read up on it brieflyl. Seems you get more time with fractional units (yeah), and usually the properties appreciate over time. The location looks great! Thanks for all your help.
