These units are part of the Alii Kai II Resort at Princeville, Kauai

Per a conversation this morning, 2/20/15 with Jim Wyndham, the units are not selling at the current price so in all probability the price will be reduced.

I don't have any idea of what the new price will be.

I filled out some forms that the club sent to me, and had them notarized. I spoke to Jim and he mentioned the probable drop in sales price. I am hopeful that they will sell at some point. If this all works out, it will be one of the few stories about a timeshare that got converted back to whole ownership and sold. Plus, if each timeshare owner gets some money back for their percentage of interest, it could be a win-win.

I have no idea about the Hawaii real estate market, so I am in the dark on that aspect of the negotiations.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the units DO sell and that we, as owners, get a piece of the proceeds. Plus, as of now we no longer have to pay maintenance fees, but if a unit is rented we do get a portion of the rental proceeds. (I think)
