One of the internet groups I have joined is a Moab Jeep group. One of the members posted this facebook post from a photographer that claims to have been at the Monolith when it was taken.
The "photographer" did not take any photos of the Monolith being removed. Not much of a "photographer."

Why does anyone believe this kind of horse s...?

So, just another misleading media title.

The "Mysterious Monolith Puzzle" has not been, in any way, "solved." This is just another example why I hate the clickbait media.
The "original" puzzle was WHEN it appeared. Since the article was published, it was removed.

Why does anyone believe any story ? Better story with pictures and no click bait maybe. Its as believable as any story is for now, imo. The photographer claims to have been frightened by or was wary of the group taking the monolith so there are no pictures of the removal which is very believable when you think about it.

Here are the pics of the removal.

Adventure tour guide reveals he removed metal monolith from Utah desert because remote location was being overrun by tourists 'littering and pooping' everywhere
  • Adventure tour guide Sylvan Christensen has attempted to justify why he along with a group of others removed the mysterious metal monolith in the Utah desert
  • He said he was worried so many people were driving, biking and even flying to the remote location - with some leaving their own feces behind
  • Christensen identified himself as one of the culprits in social media posts Tuesday, uploading videos of the monolith demolition
  • The video, which has already been viewed over 100,000 times on TikTok, shows the Christensen and three others strapping the downed pillar to a wheelbarrow
  • 'Don't abandon your personal property on public land if you don't want it to be taken out', Christensen wrote in the caption of the video
  • The shiny 12-foot-tall pillar was first spotted on November 18 by Utah Department of Public Safety workers surveying bighorn sheep by helicopter
  • Swaths of curious tourists and explorers flocked to the structure posing for pics

Are monoliths the new crop circles?

Kurt

I don't know but now there is a third mystery monolith in California, lol. The nick name seems to be "the Rods of God".

Bill

"There is currently a monolith at the top of Pine Mountain in Atascadero!" tweeted Connor Allen on Wednesday afternoon, with a trio of pictures capturing the strange new monolith at the top of Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California.

New Mexico artist collective claims they are behind the mysterious steel monoliths popping up across the world.... and are selling them for $45K each
  • The Most Famous Artist, an art collective in Santa Fe, New Mexico, appeared to take credit for the metal monoliths discovered across the globe
  • The group, founded by Matty Mo, began posting behind-the-scene images of the monoliths and recently held interviews
  • The Most Famous Artist is selling monoliths for $45,000
  • The first monolith appeared in a remote Utah desert, before one appeared in Piatra Neamt , Romania, and Atascadero, California
  • All three art installations have been removed or disappeared

And speaking of HAL:

When did you first realize that the computer named HAL is one letter each alphabetically before IBM? (H comes before I, A before B, and L before M.)

I read Arthur C. Clarke claimed it wasn't a deliberate thing, but come on - the guy was practically an alien himself. There had to be something subliminal going on? :D

Dave
HAL (Heuristically Programmed ALgorithmic Computer) is a sentient HAL/AL 9000-series computer (or artificial general intelligence)
