Hello All,
Anyone with personal experience staying at HGVC Ocean 22 or HGVC Anderson Beach Club. Going to be going in late January and early February (2 weeks). Looking to more look at the Ocean for a couple weeks and do some walking around, not real swimmers (Which we understand it is likely too cold).. Looking for the best accommodation we can as we will likely spend a fair bit of time close to the resort enjoying the location.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Is there any reason you are not including Ocean Enclave in your decision? I have only stayed at OE, but have walked through O22 and Anderson and think OE is much nicer and the location is right at the north end of the boardwalk that would allow you to walk along the ocean south about 18 blocks. My wife and I just stayed at OE and while we are not "beach" people, we doe enjoy the sight and sound of the ocean. We did do one beach walk and a couple along the boardwalk. I'm not sure that there is that much difference what is around each of the three locations. There are probably a few more restaurants and bars in the OE area, but many of them will likely be closed in January.

Appreciate the insight. Unfortunately its going to be through an RCI Exchange, Ocean Enclave doesn't seem to be an option.
The ones that are available to tie a 2 week stay into with availability are
HGVC Ocean 22
HGVC Anderson Beach Club
Enjoi Crown Reef Beach Resort (which I can find no info on in terms of the timeshare units)

Given the two choices I’d go with Ocean 22. It’s newer and more modern. I’ve seen some room reviews of Anderson over time that were not flattering. O22 is only 6 blocks from OE, so a short walk to the boardwalk, if you want to walk there. While MB tends to be quieter during the winter, you may see a fair amount of building maintenance going on during the off season and in my experience weekends will tend to draw some visitors who can drive there easily to party a bit.

While I normally would agree with this, the OP would have to see what the status of the new Hilton Hotel just north of O22. A new Hilton Garden Inn/Home 2 Suites is being built next door to O22. Being an exchanger, they may be put on the construction side and there might be some construction noises during the day. When we were in MB in July, we drove by and the land was cleared ready for construction.

Did some research on this and really couldn't find much information. I think that we would probably be happier with amicable accommodations with Ocean versus above average accommodations with construction or street view. Anyone else with any insight that may have stayed here somewhat recently?

I was just in MB about 3 weeks ago (stayed at Ocean Enclave) and there was very early site work going on to the south of O22 when we walked by 2 or 3 times. It’s really hard to know what the situation might be when you’re there in 3-4 months. I just took a look at TripAdvisor and there are still some pretty poor reviews on Anderson and overall positive ones on O22. If you end up choosing O22, you could request a room on the North side of the building.

Parking is free at Anderson, I think around $25 a night at the others

The construction is on the North side of the resort. The picture in the article is looking East toward the ocean. Looking east, the left of O22 would be north.

The resort to the south (right) of O22 is Schooner II Beach & Racquet Club.

Yeah, I took a look at Google Maps and figured it wasn't the Schooner resort that was demo-ed.

Parking is free at O22 and Enclave. Both resorts charge for Valet.
I was their about a month ago and stayed at Anderson, as I was walking down by I seen a sign in the sign in area that said self parking and valet both $25. So I went in and asked. They confirmed it was $25. But that was after asking what I owned. So maybe a difference there. I don't know that's just what I was told. I own hgvc SeaWorld.

Not sure why I thought it was south of O22. We did walk up there at least 2 times, and on one of those we went a few blocks past Anderson. It’s obvious looking at Google maps the construction is north of O22.

We are owners, so I was coming from that perspective. It could be that non owners have to pay. That would be relevant to the OP as they are exchangers.
