So there was a Hilton dump and I matched 2 weeks in a 3BR ocean front at Oceans 22 but the dates are May 7-14 and May 14-21. So with bike week should I keep it or let it go?

To each their own. Nothing against bikes or bikers, that place is crazy enough (albeit enjoyable) when it is not bike week.

We are residents of NMB and even we leave town during the two bike weeks every year.
Yeah, I am definitely dropping the second week but now have to decide if I want to come down for the single week 5/7-14 and if there will be enough early arrivals to disrupt the trip.

According to RCI Hilton warns about the last 3 weeks.

"Bike Week will occur every year during the last 3 weeks in May. Heavy traffic and noise may increase during these weeks. A separate motorcycle parking area will be designated in our parking garage located across the street from the resort."

We left Myrtle Beach this past day just as bike week was starting. Trying to get anywhere along the strip was disastrous. So many lane restrictions. You could really only go one way on the strip for any length of time and trying to go the opposite direction forced you back out. Horrible. I wouldn't go to Myrtle Beach that week if they paid me.

If I was a biker, this would be a great time to go. If not it wouldn’t be fun!

If your a motorcycle person it would be super fun. If not stay away. We are and love that Rally. The weather is great and a 3 bedroom would definitely rent very well.

It's an rci exchange so I am going to be dropping them. If anyone is a biker or knows one let them know so they can put in an rci request. The 3 BR's there are all ocean front and it looks gorgeous. While I don't like resort fees, I am willing to endure an extra $15 per day May-September to be able to get a nice place within driving distance to swim in warm water.

25 years ago -We (my wife) booked a spring vacation with our children (then 6 & 8) in an ocean front suites hotel in North Myrltle Beach. It turned out to be Bike Week & luckily we were pretty far away from party central.
There were some bikes in the parking lot that were trailered and their owners were very respectfull of noise in the parking lot at night.

We also did College Spring Break week on S.Padre Island the same accidental way about 5 years later
- and had a fine vacation.

About 10 years ago I checked into a non- chain motel in Windsor Ontario right behind a small group of Hells Angels. They were from Quebec City and were there for the HA member golf tournament. They too had trailered their bikes and were respectful ,and did not rev their bikes in the motel, parking lot.

I personally would go - understanding that you might wish to cook & stay on site more.
( and then decide if you ever book Myrtle Beach in May Bike Weeks again)

I dropped the may weeks. Was not able to get Ocean 22 or 3BR units but I did get 3 consecutive June weeks in 2BR at Anderson Avenue.

Virginia has a Shriners convention. We were there once and watched the parade of Shriners in their tiny cars!

How can you compare the Shriners Convention in Virginia Beach with bike week in MB?
