My Wyndham RCI account is no longer working, and I have 55 TPU's in it

It says paid through Nov 2011, and this is my "free" Wyndham RCI account, so I shouldn't have to pay to renew it. I am wondering if I am going to lose my account and my TPU's. I am very annoyed by this and wonder if anyone has had this same issue?

Our old RCI account we have had for 28 years is now showing the ability to deposit Club Wyndham points, and that is new. I don't want to lose my free account.

my wyndham paid RCI weeks account is working just fine, AFAICT. It allows me to search, although I did not try to book a unit.

The expiration of November 2011 is apparently why the account does not work

I have always used my Wyndham account for PIC (those weeks have to go somewhere first) and to deposit weeks enough to trade into the 1-in-4 resorts, which doubles our ability to stay at the Hiltons.

People keep talking about portals with Wyndham, and I don't use a portal with Wyndham, but I do with Shell and know how portals work.

My RCI account of 28 years has Club Wyndham listed as possible deposits. This is a very new addition to our account. NO WAY am I allowing Wyndham to drop my other account because I have this existing one. I have 55 points left in the Wyndham account. Am I just going to lose those points?

And it's close to the end of November, so of course I am thinking Wyndham is going to try to save the money by not paying for the account. I guess I have to call Wyndham. I hate to call Wyndham.

I sent a letter to RCI and hope to get an answer.

Mine was set to expire in March of this year, and was automatically renewed---it happened pretty late in the game, though, and I was also concerned.

So maybe in two days this will all be resolved? I hope so. I don't want to lose 55 TPU's, nor do I want my August trip cancelled. What is Wyndham thinking?

If there is more than one Wyndham weeks account involved, Wyndham will not pay for both once it comes to RCI or Wynhdam's attention. If one is a points account and one is a weeks account, it is my understanding Wyndham will only pay for the weeks account and you would have to pay for the points account.

I just need Wyndham to pay for the account they set up for me when we became Platinum members of Wyndham Points.

As I said above, we have been members of RCI weeks for 28 years, and we pay for that old account ourselves with our RCI Points account (you get a "free" weeks account with RCI Points).

My concern is that my old account now has options for depositing Club Wyndham points, and that is not something I added. RCI apparently did that on their own, and I am concerned they will expect our accounts to be blended into our old account and won't continue to pay for the Wyndham account. It's a new thing for us to see Club Wyndham in our old RCI account, and it's odd that it comes at a time when our Wyndham RCI account is no longer working.

FWIW, I asked about all those Wydham weeks that appeared magically in my account and was told that you can't do anything with them that they are just there for use behind the scenes.

Two guides have told me that already. I guess that's their "shut them up" answer. :ignore:

Take a screen shot if you're worried just in case. :crash:

Have not heard of your verion before. Wish you luck.

The only thing I've had that is somewhat related to this problem is with my 'free' RCI Weeks account, that I get because of my points account and ownership of fixed week TSs. My Weeks account supposedly expires in 2013, yet my points account expires in 2016. I spoke with web services about it a couple times after I renewed my Points membership to 2016. I was told that they would fix it, and they had fixed it -- but it still shows 2013.

So I'll have to stay on top of this since I will invariably have TPU in the account at the end of 2013. I've had several on-going sagas with RCI here lately.

I always have to call RCI and have them add a year to the expiration date as they only show a year at a time

I hope you have taken MULTIPLE screen shots so you can prove u have this account with the points???

Yes, I have. I took screen shots yesterday, because it does show my TPU's, but it won't let me search or book with any of them. I also have a confirmed trip to Wyndham Shearwater for August I don't want to lose. This is what is most baffling about the issue: I was able to book that Shearwater week a few months back, even though the account was due to expire this month.
