About a week ago, my Samsung TV started talking to tell me what channel was on, program synopsis and other stuff.

No clue why it started doing that but after phone calls to Costco who told me several things to try I had already done like reboot, restart, redo start up, they connected me to Samsung. They suggested some of the same stuff as Costco but after checking Accessibility and Voice Guide was off on the TV we jointly found Roku has the same feature and it was on.

Voice Guide is a system to assist folks with poor eyesight in tuning the TV. How Roku decided out of the blue I needed this assistance, is beyond me. But if your TV starts talking to you, check the TV and any device you’ve connected to it to see if Voice Guide is on:D.

Cheers
