We've had our July 1-8 reservation at the Seapointe in Carlsbad planned since September of 2005. I got a call from RCI today telling me it was cancelled because the resort over-booked.
First of all, I exchanged a GPR resort-- the San Clemente Cove. Don't we have exchange priority? Second, how could a resort like this over-book? And, if they have to bump a reservation, shouldn't my reservation take precedent since I booked it about two years out?
This is vacation time-- time off, time my kids have been looking forward to at a resort they've been wanting to go to. How could this happen?
