My Ongoing Search has disappeared!

Hi All!

I have a weeks account. I've had an ongoing search, for months. I checked this a.m,(I check daily), and it has disappeared.

When I click on the "Ongoing Search" button, I get a message, "You currently have no Ongoing Searches"

I also checked the "On Hold" button. Nothing there.

The "Confirmed" button only shows my confirmed exchanges.

I even checked the "Exchange Your Week" tab, to see if the week was inadvertantly returned, and I get a "You currently have no weeks to exchange" message.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm very concerned. :confused:

Same thing for me. no evidence of 2 ongoing searches, weeks are not in my bank and not confirmed. Must be the weekly maintenance!

Same discussion is going on at timeshare forums. Looks like all ongoing searches are missing. Hopefully RCI still has them - somewhere.

I called RCI and the counselor said she can see the ongoing exchange on her computer so it must be a website problem.

I'm sure this is a result of their world-class maintenance last night. :rolleyes:

I am getting some really weird results searching Weeks from a Points account. I search for 1 week, and I get 10 resorts. If I search for 2 weeks with the same start date, I get 0 resorts. Go figure. The point values range from 99 - 770. These are clearly incorrect, as they would typically be in the 10s of thousands. If you click through to put a week on hold, the "correct" point value comes up.

I called RCI to discuss the problem. The Guide I spoke with new of no problem, and wasn't really interested in my report because I am due for renewal. She sure was interested in trying to get me to extend my membership though. :mad: No more money from me until you fix your frikin web site.

If I were RCI management, I would be seriously embarrassed with the quality of their web site. I've seen high-school web projects that work better.

I posted the same on exchanging forum so as not to bother Madge.

Talked to a VC and tranferred to a web specialist. Yes they are aware of the problem Our searches are there, but WE can't see them ON LINE.

They are working on it.

Guess they just started a few weeks ago where u can talk to a Web person. Better then sending them emails and waiting for a response.

What does RCI do for their weekly maintenace every week? Seems to be nothing works right after they go down every week.

Still not showing. Monday morning 9AM Pacific Time

One of my searches did show about 10 am EST this morning with a unit on hold. I released it and back to no ongoing searches. I have 2 searches, but just the one showed, and now again nothing.

I have another account with RCI which was given to me and my sis from my mom, and that account shows no searches going on

SAD!! Pathetic!

So now for 2 days I can't check my account. As many other people have said that nobody has web problems like RCI does week after week

Well I hope that if an exchange comes through, RCI calls us. If they put it on hold, we will never know about it. :wall:

I'm glad I checked here and saw this thread! I just looked my RCI account and got worried when neither of my two searches were visable (3:45 pm CST). I had my hubby call and the VC said she could see my two requests. She did not say there was a current problem with the site. In fact she assumed that I didn't know how to find my ongoing searches and told us where to look for them. I just hope that though I can't "see" them, my weeks are really "searching" for a location for me.

It would be nice if RCI posted an alert on the site to let us know that there's a problem rather than letting us call and be upset about it!

I am SOOO happy I came here as soon as I didn't see my search.
My week is missing and so is my search.
I am now calling RCI and when it says listen first to the selection, I don't hear anything. :wall:
It's Monday evening and my LONG ongoing search for Feb. has vanished!
My week is gone too.
I hope they see it. I will report back.

Mine is also gone. Had this search going since Mar of 2006. Hope it comes back with the same start date. Searching for 2008. Have not recieved anything from feedback@RCI either.

Just a heads-up.

I checked again, this a.m., and still nothing.

I called RCI, and one of the selections is for technical support for the web-site.

The tech I spoke said that RCI is working on the problem. He also said that the searches are in the mainframe, and none of them are lost.

He then proceeded to tell me that my search is ongoing, gave me my search parameters, (i.e. area & dates), so I feel vastly relieved.

:whoopie: Isn't TUG wonderful? We had to come here to find out what's going on with RCI's Web site!? I just looked at my account and my searches have not resurfaced. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Yeah, you'd think. Unless they want the phone calls so they can ask if we want to renew. :ignore: Actually, the rep I talked to was very nice, confirmed all of my current trades and verified my search was still out there. And he did not try to get me to renew my membership or spacebank my Maui Hill week with them. :clap:

I now have a message in the alert area of the web page stating that the web on-going searches are not showing, and that they are working on the problem. States that the searches are still active.

My ongoing search reappeared this morning. I had called RCI yesterday after nearly freaking out and the guide immediately told me the website was having difficulties and she confirmed my search parameters for me. She also asked if I wanted to deposit my 2008 week since I was on the phone.:hysterical:

All of my searches are now showing on the RCI website. I tried to modify one to searches to search for some other availability, and it also worked fine. I was really nervous that I would lose my search all together, but it was fine.
