I recently bought a resale week of wkorv and a reservation in Oct by the ex-owner was transferred to me.
Since I'm not able to use it and renting it out in redweek was not easy (too expensive, low season, or too close to the check in date ??), I'd like to cancel it even though it's within 60 days, and I am looking for other ways to use it, but it seems like not many.
While reading posting here and checking Vistana home page, I noticed that the current reservation's type is "Vistana Signature Network Reservation", not home resort option or similar. I wonder if the reservation type is correct since it's done by the ex-owner and transferred to me, or it's just because the ex-owner made the reservation out of 8 months - 12 months period (just my speculation.)

Anyways I wonder if my home VOI would get restored after canceling it. If it would I'd like to deposit it to interval. Otherwise, I would get restricted staroptions that is not useful for me. 😭

Just tried, and I got my home VOI back, so that I was able to deposit to interval. 😌
Hope this information would help others in the future.

That's good. I always understood that even a home resort reservation for mandatory resorts when cancelled within 60 days still resulted in restricted StarOptions. Did you cancel on the phone or online?

I got a deposit notification email for interval. things went smoothly.

Btw, Oct. 12 wkorv OFC is now available since I cancel it. Hope someone would take and enjoy it even though the check-in date is so close. (I saw it's taken)
