The Japanese are celebrating Peace because they LOST WWII.
Otherwise they would be celebrating victory like we should be doing now.

yes -
I believe Los Alamos had fuel for an additional third plutonium bomb
And there was no paper executive order from Truman to drop the bomb - it was a foregone conclusion
It's easy to be a revisionist historian. You get to second guess dead people and you get to use 20/20 hindsight in doing so.
Germany was very close to having a nuclear weapon. That could have changed everything. Hitler with nuclear weapons? Think of that.
The Amazon Prime show, Man in the High Castle was an excellent sci-fi show about the U.S. losing because Germany got the bomb before the U.S. did. That alternate reality show is kind of fun to watch and made me appreciate WWII even more than I did. I had 6 uncles and my dad in the war. I appreciate their service.
Especially if you lose!In my experience, those that celebrate war are people that watch alot of war movies but never really experienced a win or a loss in any battle. Those that have experienced war, directly or indirectly, rarely if ever talk about it because it is so messed up.
The only thing worth celebrating is peace.

Where do you see people celebrating war? I think you are confusing celebrating heroism, bravery, and victories with celebrating war itself. All of those items, along with peace, should be celebrated, IMO. I know of no one who thinks war, itself, is a good thing or should be celebrated. In my experience, those that celebrate war are people that watch alot of war movies but never really experienced a win or a loss in any battle.
