Today, I gave II my cell phone number after starting some searches for the very first time. Tonight, I got my very first call from II (so excited!) on my cell phone, but the rep was calling for another person with a different ownership  ?! The owner owns at Ridge Tahoe and was requesting a Marriott in Virginia.

This can't be a coincidence that I give them my cell number and they call me on the same day...do you suppose II put my number into someone else's account? Does this happen frequently?

Denise, they probably have all of our numbers on automatic dialers and call without knowing who they are calling. They're looking at the wrong name. Hey, it's a big company, so they are bound to make mistakes. :)

I love both exchange companies, but RCI seems to make less phone calls, and I appreciate their less aggressive marketing practices. Believe it or not, I had to call RCI and tell them my membership was about to expire and that I wanted to renew. They never called me once. When I still had five years of membership at II, they were calling me all the time, asking me if I want to extend my membership. Now I have about 12 years to go before my II membership expires, and I still get a sales spiel when I call them for anything at all.
