I participated in a MVCI webinar this evening. It was a basic presentation on how to earn and use Marriott Rewards points. The interactive feature allowed participants to ask questions. The presenter accurately pushed the Travel Packages as (generally) the best use for Marriott Rewards points.

I asked the presenter to disclose that the hotel and Travel Package points charts used in the webinar will be outdated as of January 15, 2009 and to encourage participants top make 2009 reservations before January 15. However, they had a canned presentation and they apparently weren't aware that the changes would be released yesterday. So I put the web link for the changes in a message that went to all participants.

(Edited to note that they added a comment about the January 2009 changes about 10 minuutes after the presentation ended and during a period when Marriott personnel were responding to the interactive chat questions. About half of the participants were still logged on.)

According to the list on the webinar site, there were only about 20 participants, plus Marriott personnel. That was disappointing!
