Salesperson at Maui today told me that there will eventually be a fractional/timeshare component to the Marriott's Kaua'i Lagoons development, which currently includes a Ritz Carlton Club and a whole ownership Marriott Grand Residences.

Seemed to think a fractional Grand Residence Club was most likely, but wouldn't rule out a Marriott property.

Said it won't move forward until Maui and Ko'Olina are sold out.

Possibility of internal trading to other Marriott Grand Residence Clubs

We are owners of the Marriott Grand Residence Club in Tahoe, and always wondered why the company emblem was a pineapple, we were hoping that other MGR resorts were coming and or the possibility of an internal trading program with the Ritz. Now the Tahoe property is under extensive upgrading eventhough the resort is still relatively new to upgrade bedding flat screens ect. I hope this new Kauai Lagoon property will offer the internal trading program we have all been waiting for. I hope this was always the plan.
Any Tuggers thoughts on this?

I thought about purchasing at MGR in Tahoe (either a 13-week or 5-week summer package). What is your opinion or experience with the property, management, rental income, etc? Inbox me if you prefer.

Grand Resdence Club has been an excellent property, we own 3 13 week units and use them strictly for rental. Expected improvements to Tahoe, ie, the Convention Center and new high end Chateau project should lead to price appreciation
