MVC posted a 13 percent loss (VAC) today. As I'm not too smart about such things, can someone explain how that affects we owners now and in the future? I expect there will be more and bigger losses going forward. Thanks

Two things:
1. Sales STOPPED cold.
2. MVC club also had almost no income from food/drinks, spa, activities.

I'm actually shocked the number is not worse.

The number was probably fairly low because their operations were really only interrupted for about 2-3 weeks at the end of March. The loss probably was offset by a pace toward income growth before the shutdowns. Second quarter will be much worse.

It should also be noted, that it wasn't a 13 point loss. It was a 13% decline in first quarter ownership sales. They lost a lot of money last quarter.
