Yesterday, I received a notification from FedEx that a shipment from "Marriott Vacation Club" was on its way. ETA is tomorrow. Curious what this is and if anyone else receive a package recently? I wonder if it's related to the new owner levels

Scam likely

Did you possibly leave something in a room recently? If not, likely scam.

Do you have enough points for one of the two new levels?

I’ve never known them to send anything back unsolicited and especially for free. Anytime we’ve had a forgotten item we had to open a lost item request through a website and then they would search for it. So far they haven’t found anything we’ve left behind.

I have left my walking crane and thumber cups at the Manor Club in Williamsburg, VA and their security staff has held the items for me.
We are less than 50 miles from the resort, and I would just drive over to pick up the items.

Yes, they will hold items for you to pick up later. I doubt they would've shiped it to you at the HOAs expense.

I received a FedEx from MVC and it turned out to be the deed for my Los Suenos week.

To the OP, that was not a scam but a Happy ending piece of mail from MVC. LOL

The are trying to reach you cause you missed your “owner update” 😂

Huh? Are you replying to ClaraJ who is NOT the OP? OP never stated what they got.

REPLY button always helps to clarify who yo are responding to.

Hi All,

I did just come back from Aruba but I didn’t leave anything behind. Even if I did, they hold it for you as they did years ago when my daughter forgot her wallet there.

It’s supposed to arrive tomorrow so once I open the package, I will provide an update.

TIA!

In my opinion it will be a cease and desist letter on renting out your units...I got one a few days ago.
What level of renting out have you been doing to trigger that? and was it club points or weeks reservations that they are seeking to limit?

So, did you receive the package? What was it?

It's been over two weeks, probably some sort of chemical or biological attack and they are now incapacitated and in the hospital.
They logged into TUG today so that can’t be it. Perhaps it’s more along the lines of post number 15 and they don’t wanna talk about it.

Marriott is cracking down on rentals, according to Bruce who helped me with log-in issues after the update to the website requiring "multiple factor" measures. He said they are even going to stop my rentals of weeks.

Just curious... Under what circumstances would they stop owners from renting their weeks?

Just a guess--then they tried to sell you more weeks (or points) ??

I typically will make reservations for friends and family members and they will pay me my costs to use the reservation. I do this to pay for my maintenance fees, but don't make any profit. If they start telling me I can't do this I will get rid of my complete portfolio because I can't afford the MF's now that I'm retired. They are on a slippery slope if they try to crack down on 'rentals'. I've had several MVC sales people suggest renting excessive points/ weeks for profit.
