Was looking for a weekend stay in September but our Enrolled points only had Fri Night available. Checked Cash and the Executive discount rate available for Sat night. Then checked MRP and it is available that Sat for 35K points plus 10K "upgrade" since they only have two bedroom.

Found it interesting.

WARNING - PONTIFICATING: And since it is ALL 2BR units, why not call it a Cat 9 for 45K points since that is what it really is and you cant use a Cat 7 Cert there...or maybe you can but I bet you still have to add the upgrade points.

Sorry...meant to add this to the FV thread...not create new

Because the standard MR terms add 5,000 points (1 upgrade cert) for a 1BR and 10,000 points (2 upgrade certs) for a 2BR. This is across all the MVCI resorts so it makes sense to do it the way they do.

And yes, you need to use a category 7 certificate and add the upgrade points.
