MROP deposit to II??

Has anyone else attempted to deposit a MROP week into their II account? I have been shuffled from person to person and told that I cannot do it. II does not seem to have heard of Multiresort Ownership Plan. I deposited a couple of weeks into RCI without much problem. MROP is surprised that I just can't give them the reservation number and code.

I have deposited weeks from MROP into my II account many times. The three letter code for MROP shows "MRO" in my II account.
A few times II was not able to verify the week with the resort. The resort would reject the deposit because John Doe does not own the week (of course not because the owner is listed as MROP).
I have had to ask the people at VRI to deposit the week into my II account a few times, you will need to give VRI your II account number.

You have to have a week scheduled at one of the resorts first and will need a unit number

I have a week scheduled, unit number, reservation number, etc. I must have gotten a dud "customer service" person. I have a Marriott so I found out I must talk to the Marriott desk and they shuffled me to customer service where I was informed that she had never heard of MROP and that I could not deposit a week where I did not own.

Maggie, I'm wondering how you got a Marriott week from a MROP? I didn't know there were any, where is it? I'm still learning, there is soooooooooo much to learn.

I didn't get it from MROP -- It's another week I have owned for a long time. No, the week I have to deposit from MROP is Sweetwater Lift Lodge just before Christmas. Not sure what sort of trading power it will have but maybe it is a good week for skiers. I had my second hip replaced this summer so I won't be doing any skiing.

When I bought my MROP week I called II and asked them to add the resort club to my account, they charge a fee unless you are adding time to your membership. The three letter code II needs to know is "MRO".
Now, whenever I deposit a week into II that I received from MROP I let them know it is a week from MROP. Sometimes I need to have VRI deposit the week into my II account directly when the resort rejects the deposit.

Thanks, Ray. I talked to II again and this time told them I wanted to add a MROP week to my existing account. I explained again what MROP stands for, how it works, etc. The rep had never heard of Multi Resort Ownership Plan but you telling me that the code II uses for MROP is MRO really helped. He seemed to look it up, said "Oh, Multi Resort Ownership Plan!" and then was able to go find out how to handle it. I had to pay a fee or extend membership a year to add the MRO option. They will verify with MROP that I do own a membership and when I see the MRO option in my account, then I call with the resort code and reservation number. At least that is how it is supposed to work. I wasn't getting anywhere until I could tell them their code was MRO.
