MR 5 night TP conversion to Aeroplan

Need some help to figure this out. Aeroplan is giving a bonus of 40K points when 150K points are converted to them from hotel loyalty programs. I am an owner so I can get a 5 night Marriott TP. It looks like the most amount of points I am able to convert are 120K and that would cost 235K MR points. Is that correct? Is there anyway to convert 150K points or am I limited to 120K points. Thanks.

I think yu might need to use a standard MR 7 night package.

In a travel package you are limited to 120,000 miles. This is the same whether it is a 5-night TP or a 7-night TP.

See if they will allow you to do the TP with 120K miles PLUS convert another 30K MR points to miles to reach the required 150K

This will certainly be possible, however will be two sep transactions. I would make sure Aeroplan would accept that in the promo.

I did think of the double transaction however Aeroplan will only give bonus on single transaction. Loss for me.

30,000 miles would cost more than 30,000 MR points. The one-to-one conversion ratio is only in the travel packages.

Im not expecting 1:1 ratio. 120K travel package in cat. 1-5 costs 215K MR points.
