I haven't tried to exchange anything lately, but I do notice there are a lot of really great last minute rentals here here on tug. That shows that a lot of people aren't able to keep their travel plans. I'm sure as you have predicted, there will be a lot more availabilty for exchanges. Especially to places that most people have to fly to. Places such as Hawaii should be very easy to get now.
Wyndham; Disney OKW & SSR; Marriott's Willow Ridge, Shadow Ridge and Grand Chateau; Val Chatelle; Hono Koa OF (3); SBR(LOTS), SDO a few); WKORV-OFC-4 and Westin Desert Willow.
I have been posting lots of great sightings, which only TUG members can see. There is a smorgasbord of great vacations available for next summer. I like posting sightings, and many others are joining in.
It's absolutely amazing what I can see right now for the next two years, including some great Marriott Aruba weeks with my generic trader.
I couldn't believe our good fortune in finding 2 weeks on the west coast of Florida (Calini and Lahaina, both 2-bedrooms) during the month of February. We have been vacationing in Florida during February for the past 5 years, and I've never seen these resorts appear before.
I have been following VRBO for quite a few years now. Southwest FL always sold out quickly Jan/Feb/March. Not so this coming year 2009. Many good places are available for Jan in prime locations with less so in Feb & March. The economy certainly is playing a large part.
On the flip side, my son just landed an air tran ticket for his family of 4 from Maine to Orlando (MCO) for $99 per person. Great price! :whoopie:
Is this $99 one way or return ? Before tax or with all taxes incl. ? I am asking because most fares quoted these days are one way and you get a shock only after you see the total, tax incl.. I suppose buying air tickets that far in advance gives you a peace of mind. Personally, I am still looking for the best air deal I can find for Florida in Febr. 09
Today on Delta -- $122 RT to Orlando from upstate NY. Too bad my travel dates are blocked out! Perhaps there is a similar fare from your area, if you do not have to travel during the holiday week. Good luck finding a decent fare. Please post if and when you do.
