Modify 2BR LO Points reservation to 1BR?

Has anyone here been able to call in and get the CSR to ‘modify’ a 2BR LO Points reservation to be a 1BR reservation when there is no separate 1BR inventory available?

Points reservation? You can't really lock those off. I am not sure if they would be able to break the inventory by calling them. It never hurts to try. Worst case they screw up and lose your reservation. Best case they do it for you and in the middle they say no and you are where you are now.

I hadn’t thought of it that way. In my mind Abound Point MVC 2BR lock offs were like DVC ones - available to be booked as studios, 1BRs, or 2BRs to whoever got there first. That if one 2BR lock off remained available it would ‘auto lock off’ if someone booked a studio or 1BR leaving the other side available.

Sometimes MVC/resorts decide how many of a a lock off can be booked separately. I'd agree with calling. Not sure if you cancelled and rebooked if you'd be able to get the smaller unit(s).
