I had my second Moderna shot around noon yesterday. No side effects yet! I did an hour of water aerobics this morning and am going to play pickleball this afternoon. Hope it doesn’t catch up with me tomorrow!

I was going to update my initial 'no big deal after 2nd Moderna shot' post, but I think there might be a time limit, because I can't see a way to edit it. Regardless... Aside from a fairly mild headache, some chills and a slightly elevated temp - plus a very sore arm - I had a very easy go of it. Even the arm was mostly better by the second morning.

My husband, on the other hand, is having a rough time. He got his exactly 24 hours ago, and his arm was sore within a few hours. The chills started around midnight (8 hours post shot) and have rolled through occasionally since. His temp has so far maxed out at 100.5f - quite high for him, about 3 degrees over normal. The rest, he says, feels like a bad hangover. He has a throbbing headache that was particularly bad this morning. He's achy and whiny. He feels a little better this afternoon than he did this morning, for which I am thankful. I think that's the magic of broccoli cheese soup =)

So anyway, split household! It could go either way, folks - but even in his sour mood he's grateful.

Edit: day 2 post shot was much better - just a little sore in his arm and an occasional mild headache. Two more weeks and I get to hug my dad!!

Interesting -- multiple people on Nextdoor are reporting delayed reactions to the second shot, with the fever/aches/general malaise coming on 5-10 days afterwards. And one is reporting something apparently known as "Covid Arm", where the arm gets bright red and hot 5 or so days after the first shot. I don't recall any Tuggers having delayed symptoms.

I want to hear from you on day two. I've heard that is when the side effects usually show up. I had NO side effects with first shot, but with the second I was laid flat on the second day. Same with my sister in law.

Other than the sore arm and red mark for the first shot, I really had no symptoms. But for the 2nd shot I have had a headache and have been extremely tired, yawning and just not able to stay awake. Slept 16 hours the first night, and needed a nap the next two days in the afternoon. I had no other symptoms other than tiredness. However I found being so tired an having a headache put me in a bit of a brain fog for 2 days.
Moderna of Pfizer?

DW had her second shot of the Moderna yesterday ~ 5 pm. She was OK this morning, but this afternoon started feeling ill - flu-like.

I had the Covid Arm rash about 7 days after my FIRST Moderna vaccine. Other than looking unattractive (!) it really didn’t bother me. I got my second vaccine earlier this week, and this time I got a smaller rash within 24 hours...its already fading. Other than that, no side effects at all!

Good night everyone, no pain, no fever, no rash from our second Moderna shot. My left arm is not sore. No side effects. Day 2.

I just have the munchies for potato chips, pizza, cookies and milk.

I am a little upset this morning with our federal government vaccine numbers.
I have learned that DOD have been vaccinating DOD staff, active and retirees military members and family members in the United States. These individuals vaccinated numbers are not included in the nation vaccinated counts. Something is wrong. This is why, I do not trust numbers or surveys.

I just got my first Moderna shot today. I had to go to the windward side of the island in Kaneohe. They were very organized and were giving a lot of shots. I had to stay an extra 15 minutes because I am allergic to Penicillin.

No issues, the person giving the shot was excellent and I didn’t even feel it. Very similar to my flu shot. My appointment for the second shot is 03-31-21.

We are a couple that received Moderna for DH and Pfizer for me. His 2nd shot was 2/22 and mine was yesterday at noon-a 4 week interval vs. the recommended 3 for Pfizer.
He was fine from Moderna, but I woke up 13 hours after dose 2 of Pfizer and "I got chills, they're multiplying!" Headache and minor aches and pains with a fever of 100.4 when I took it @7am.
To the best of my knowledge none of our friends who received both doses of both vaccines had an adverse reaction, although my sister in Oregon was down and out for several days post Pfizer 2.
Feeling okay now with just a slight headache. Chills are gone, but now I'm hot. Arm is barely sore.
