I read in a recent newsletter I received from MOC that they are painting the orginal buildings to match the color of the New Lahaina and Napili buildings. Does anyone know if this paint job gets funded from maintenance fees or is it part of the cost of the building project for the two new towers, and therefore picked up by Marriott.

Thanks

It's from our annual maintenance fees. They were due for a repainting. Last time I was there I could see sufficient cracks and peeling to warrant a new paint job. Now that the villa buildings are in, they are taking advantage of this as a good time to change colors.
