Am headed to MOC on August 14.
I was wondering if there is a business center on property for printing?
What type of laundry facilities are available?
Recommendations for restaurants nearby and also for a special birthday dinner. The birthday dinner can be on the way to the airport?

Where would you suggest stopping for groceries?

Any recommended snorkeling or sunset cruises?
Thanks

Yes there are laundry in the rooms of 1 & 2 bd in the new towers. In the old sections there is laundry on the lowest floor.

There is a safeway in Lahania BUT many people go to Costco which is about 1 block from the car rentals at the airport

The Safeway in Lahaina has always been our grocery choice. We tend to eat out a lot in Maui so the larger quantities you have to buy at Costco has seemed unnecessary.

As far as restaurants, our favorites are:

Longhis - downtown Lahaina
Kimos - downtown Lahaina
Duke's - North Kaanapali in the Honua Kai Condos
Lelani's - Whalers Village
Hula Grill - Whalers Village

[Edit: I added Duke's to my list above. Totally forgot about it for some reason until I read it below]

Restaurants we enjoyed a lot:
1) Dukes - 130 Kai Malina Parkway Lahaina, HI 96761 Cross Street: Honoapiilani Hwy (808) 662-2900
2) Roy's - near the timeshare
3) Mama's Fish House. It is a 30-40 minute drive from the Timeshare towards the airport. It is $$$, and requires reservations, but totally fabulous. We celebrated a special occasion at Mama's and the staff treated us extremely well. By far best meal we had in Maui.

We stayed in the Lahaina Villas, in the lobby of our building there was a machine that only printed boarding passes. It was very convenient. Not sure if they have these machines in all buildings or not.

There are computers and printers in the main lobby. Many restaurants from expensive (Merrimans, Lahaina Grill, Gerard's) to cheap (Teddy's Burger's, Aloha Mixed Plate) to moderate (Leilani's, Hula Grill, Longhi's). Also Mala and Hono and the new Mexican restaurant Frida's. Visit the concierge and let them know the type and price range of the restaurants you would like to visit. Three major markets Safeway, Times and Foodland.

If you like Vietnamese/Asian Fusion then a trip to Star Noodle is a must. Make a reservation though.

LuLu's for breakfast

My kids insist on it. Never made it for lunch or dinner.

The Gazebo for breakfast is located on the water at the Napili Shores resort. Fried rice, full order, and macadamia nut pancakes are a must. Opens at 7:30 a m, closes at 2:30 p m. Koa Seaside Grill on Front St. in Lahaina is also owned by Gazebo.

Check out Mala's for sure. Try to get seated by the windows before sunset. The Ahi with Shiitaki Mushrooms (spicy) is fantastic.

The Banyan Tree at the Ritz Kapalua has re-opened, it's one of my favorite places in Maui. Great food and a pretty good wine list. Ask for Dustin as a waiter.

The Hula Grill is just up the beach from MOC. Sit outside and try the fish taco's, wash it down with a Mai Tai or two...

I agree with your favorite restaurant recommendations, except perhaps for Longhi's. It is a fine restaurant but I am not too fond of it. They do not serve any kind of potatoes there, even if you are having a steak.

We don't think very highly of the Safeway in Lahaina. We much prefer Foodland. One Foodland store is in the middle of Lahaina and the other (Foodland Farms) is in the shopping center across the street from Cannery Mall.

Longhi's is actually our favorite restaurant on Maui. Some say it's not what it used to be, but we've never had a bad meal there. Service can have an "island pace" at times, but if you go in expecting not to be rushed and use the opportunity to savor your wine, it's always been a great evening. It's also a great place to people watch - several years ago we ate at a table next to Carlos Santana and his entourage and in 2011 we ate beside Mick Fleetwood and John McVie of Fleetwood Mac.

We like their recipes so much we bought their cookbook and make Shrimp Longhi, Macadamia Nut Mahi Mahi, and Opakapaka with grapes at home.

It used to be our favorite on Maui also, however, over the past several years it has gone down hill. We have had several bad meals (dinners) there. The one thing they still do well every time is pasta. They also have a wonderful breakfast and lunch. We still go and limit our dinner to pasta dishes.
