MGO - Trading Silver Week for Early Gold Week

We love the Marriott resorts, and we have been looking for a reasonably priced resale at MGO. Cheapest Gold week that we have seen so far, not including Ebay is around $5,000. While we don't need prime summer weeks, we would prefer weeks in the month of June. For this reaon, I don't know if it would be wise to spend the extra money on a Gold week just to trade into a early June week. June weeks are in the plat. season which are even more expensive. Just curious to know if any current owners have any experience with trading your silver week into early Gold? Again, we are not asking for a prime summer week. Thanks.

Silver weeks trade fairly well into Gold in Hilton Head, based on our experience. HOwever, we have not had success in trading in June, which is prime season in HH.

Check the resort calendar. Gold season at Grande Ocean includes early June. Many gold owners want that time frame so it may still be difficult to get but your chances are better as an owner than a trader and no exchange fee.
