Looks like the fees for the deluxe 2br l/o are increasing by about 14%!:bawl: They have the proposed fees on mystarcentral but haven't billed them yet.

I am not sure if these projected fees include the SVN/ARDA fee - I have this increase at 12.5% if the fee is included for a 2Bd Deluxe LO (about 13.2% if not)

WKORV Deluxe 2Bd LO
w/o SVN fee
2005: $1628
2006: $1813
2007: $2161 (SVN fee included? - I hope so)

WSJ 2BD TH
w/o SVN fee
2005: $1053
2006: $1201
2007: $1353 (fee included?)

According to what I have on mine, the $2161.00 is without the SVN fee. I'm still coming up with just shy of 14%. Maybe I need a math refresher course!:D

If the 2006 fees of $1813 increase to $2161 (an increase of $348), then you'd have an 19.2% increase of the 2006 fees ($348/1813).

I think it has to do with how the SVN fee is added to the calculation - you could be right. How do you know this 2007 figure is without the SVN fee? Mine does not state it either way.

The 2006 MF (w/o SVN/ARDA) was $1813 - if the 2007 MF is $2161 (w/o SVN/ARDA) then this is actually 19.2%!!!! :bawl:

wilma beat me to this...

I have 2 EOY instead of an annual. Last year I paid $926.58 + 103.30(SVN)on one (a total of $1026.88) and $926.58 on the other (no SVN fee) a total of $1953.46. This year the proposed is approx. $1152.00 on one week and $1080.00 on the other for a total of $2232.00. There are some additional pennies on these but it won't let me get on now. I came up with a difference of $308 from last year to 2007 which I think would be about 16.5%. I don't know why there is a difference in your amount last year and mine. I think they charge an accounting fee for EOY-maybe that's the difference.

I don't know Denise, but I think we might need to read between the lines of the current newletter. Particularly how insurance costs have gone up because of Katrina. Then there's how we are in a tropical location and prone to tropical weather. And of course we have to make sure that there are sufficient reserves, blah, blah, blah. It seems $500/yr increase in two years is a bit much. I love WKORV but justifying it to DH is just going to be that much harder this year!

The mystarcentral website seems to have changed my projected fees for 2007 since I logged in about an hour ago.

It used to list numbers similar to those posted above. Now it lists the projected fees as identical to 2006. Anyone else experiencing this "glitch" of momentary happiness :D ?

Mine have changed too!:cheer: I figure I'll celebrate while I can. When I was in mystarcentral earlier trying to get the exact figures for my above post, it changed and started saying information temporarily unavailable. I'm wondering if this is a correct change too!

They weren't quick enough for me. I wrote them down in a spreadsheet - it will be interesting to see what they would come out with - a 19% increase is just wrong.
btw, Katrina damage was flood related due to the hurricane undermining the levees causing the flooding. If the levees would have held (properly built) - the disaster from a year ago would have been averted.

That was just the problem for New Orleans. The western MS coast was wiped flat by the surge. A LOT of places I grew up with are now just gone.:bawl:

Now this is weird! My MF has changed too and now it actually shows that it is LESS this year than last year!

WKORV-

Current Year Charges $ 1,424.14
Projected Fees for Next Year $ 1,419.14

Sheraton Desert Oasis 1 Bdm. EOY -

Current Year Charges $261.54
Projected Fees for Next Year $256.54

Under "Prior Balance Due" it shows -$261.54 - But I know I didn't over pay last year!

Gee, if that number was firm, I would pay it quick before they can change again!

Just went to website for my Maui WKORV and no maintenance fees for 2007 stated. REALLY hope they stay same as 2006, may think of selling if significant increase and going to renting timeshare.

Since buying we have discovered renting timeshares and if we know then what we know now.....................

Of course - you are correct - I meant the damage to the NO area. We live in EQ country - so you never have warning.

For my 2 EOYs, the proposed MFs are

$884.07 (was 781.22)
$812.08 (was 709.22)

$1696.15, from $1490.44, up $205.71, a 14% increase.

We pay $31.30 + $20-40 more in paperwork fees for owning two intervals.

DeniseM or someone else who owns an EY 2 bedroom, what does mystarcentral indicate for your total charges?

Wow, that would be great news :whoopie: . Maybe mine is wrong then? My intervals should only be max $71.30 more than any regular EY owner.

I just received in the mail the Westin St John Proposed Budget of Operating Expenses for 2007 - and the 2007 MFs (Total Maintenance, Reserve, and Reservation Fee) for our 2Bd TH is exactly what is listed on MyStarCentral as the proposed 2007 MFs. MSC includes the SVN membership fee.

Does anyone know if there is a breakdown posted online? I'd like to see the tax portion. I know i've seen it just not sure whether it was online or a statement.
