It looks like Mexico is on the way to legalizing marijuana. Their supreme court ruled it is a right.

The vote by the court’s criminal chamber declared that individuals should have the right to grow and distribute marijuana for their personal use. While the ruling does not strike down current drug laws, it lays the groundwork for a wave of legal actions that could ultimately rewrite them, proponents of legalization say.

Whether you think marijuana should be legalized or not, the proposed Ohio law was poorly written. It was setting up a monopoly for growers (10 pre-determined) and required individuals who wanted to grow their own to get some kind of license.

Another issue on Ohio's ballots was an anti-monopoly one. So .... if the marijuana law had passed but the monopoly one also passed - then I think the marijuana law would have not 'worked' because of the monopoly clause.

Hmmmm.. What were they smokin'???

I doubt that any one from WA or B.C. would want any of that around town brown grown in Mexico. Maybe you mean ship it there, only. Even though pot isn't legal in B.C. it seems like B.C. buds are still highly sought after by the pot toking community. In WA, we now have pot stores with all kinds of strains. Its too bad Im not into it.

I bet Canada will legalize pot soon with your new pm JT. Didn't Trudeau actually say he was heading this route?
