Does anyone know the Mexican bank that is affiliated with Bank of America where you don't have to pay ATM fees or foreign transaction fees? I'm looking for one in San Jose del Cabo.

Never mind. I found the following on the BofA website:

Be prepared before using an International ATM.
Before you use your card to get cash from an international ATM it pays to do a little research. When you use a foreign ATM, you could be charged a variety of fees, including non-bank ATM usage fees, ATM operator access fees, and international transaction fees for conversion to U.S. dollars. One way to limit such fees is to use your Bank of America ATM or debit card at one of our international partner ATMs. This enables you to avoid the Non-Bank of America ATM $5 usage fee for each withdrawal, transfer or balance inquiryFootnote2 as well as the ATM operator access fee.

Keep in mind that when you use your debit card to withdraw money from an international ATM, Bank of America will assess an international transaction fee of 3% of the converted U.S. dollar amountFootnote3. Foreign ATM operators may offer to do your currency conversion for you, but they may charge a higher fee for conversion. You can refuse the foreign ATM conversion and be assessed the 3% Bank of America international transaction fee instead.

Here is a list of Bank of America international partner ATMs:
Barclays (United Kingdom)
BNL D’Italia (Italy)
BNP Paribas (France)
China Construction Bank (Mainland China)
Deutsche Bank (Germany)
Santander (Mexico)
Scotiabank (Canada, Peru, Chile and the Caribbean)
UkrSibbank (Ukraine)
Westpac Bank (Australia and New Zealand)

Santander but I recall there is no domestic Bof A fee but there is a local ATM fee of about $20 pesos per withdraw.

Better yet if you have some USD to exchange go to Intercam near Mega as they often have the best cambio rates in the area.

Thanks for the info! I just checked the exchange rate for today and it's $1 USD = 18.91 pesos.:)

We just returned last month. The peso was dropping daily, and by the time we left it was just short of 19/$1. Incidentally, looking at the BofA charges, $5 access +3% foreign transaction fee is robbery. Using my credit union card at Santander and HSBC was $1.50 from my bank, 1% F.T. and 20 pesos to the Mexican bank.

I found I could track my cost quite accurately by using http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ and the 4% rate would include all costs. Today, that rate is 18.1456.

We received 18.75 At Costco on Wed in Cabo!!!

TD bank offers a card where all atm fees are refunded.

Our bank in the US is the same. I think they refund up to $6 a month in ATM fees that are charged by out of network ATMs.

We use Santander for cash withdrawals from our BofA checking without any fees charged.

I just got back from Mexico and used our B of A debit card. We were charged no ATM fees but were charged the 3% transaction fee. The transaction fee on a 1000 Peso withdrawal is 30 Pesos or about a $1.60 which I think is a good deal. Santander ATM's are easy to find in Cabo and all over Mexico.

I just got 18.6000 pesos to th US dollar at Walmart yesterday in Cancun.
I use a CapOne bank card in MX with no conversion or use fees, except for some kind of MX machine fee, not much though.
