Curious if anyone has rented or owned memorial day week (22-23ish time frame) at surfwatch in HHi.

I was curious as to the price difference for the rental of this week vs weeks on either side for the 3br unit there.

thanks =)

Brian, owning SW (seasonal calendar link) 3BR Gold and Platinum Weeks, I know that the Memorial Day holiday sometimes falls in Gold season and sometimes in Plat. When it's Gold it's probably the highest-demand week among owners; when it's Plat it's probably second to the July 4th holiday.

I don't get into timeshare rentals but it wouldn't be a surprise for owners to price the holiday week higher than either week bookending it. On marriott.com I see cash availability for a SW 2BR oceanvista unit (no 3BR availability) the week before and the week of Memorial Day, 2016. The rate is $524/nt through 6/1 and changes to $614/nt on 6/2 and beyond. So, marriott.com doesn't charge a premium for the actual May 30 holiday but they do increase rates midway through the week of and for the weeks following.

Thanks sue!

I had no doubt it was more, was just curious at how much more is all. I see the bookend weeks available for rent at a reasonable price...but given the high demand week that is, im yet to find a listing for it to compare.

Good to be Grande Ocean Gold

Posted above that Memorial day is sometimes Gold sometimes Platinum at Surfwatch. It is always Gold at Grande Ocean (Gold goes to week 23)

I have rented Memorial Day at MGO the last two years and did not find over the top demand on TUG Rentals. Some people like to rent the golf tournament week in April and that week had a glut in 2015.

Other owners tell me the first week of June is higher demand than Memorial day. I will post both 5/29 and 6/3 for rent and report back to you any demand difference.

:cool:
