We recently talked to a Humana rep and had my wifes parents switch over for 2012 because of the prescription formulary tier. We also talked to their doctor and can use generics. One drug is about $1800 a month and has put them in the donut hole really early. For 2012 we are having this drug made by Medice Mart Pharmacy for $69.00 per month.

So the generic version is $1700 more per month than having the prescription compounded by a pharmacist. The doctor says its the same drug with a different binder.

Me too!! Only difference is my drug cost $7305. for 21 pills. I've been in the donut hole since January and have been paying 5% for the remaining of the year. In January 2012, we start all over again if I stay on these pills. I use Humana for my Drug D Plan and the Pharmacy I get these pills from informed me last month after December she will not fill the prescription any more because she will not renew her contract with Humana. She loses too much money every time she fills my precription. So she told me to find another pharmacy or change insurance companies. Humana's mail order service Right Source has a Specialty Pharmacy that will dispense the drug so that's where I will get it from if I am still on it.

Medicine Mart is a compounding pharmacy. A person would have to find a compounding pharmacy in their state to do this.

They also make hormone replacement for male and female.
