I have been in contact with Nick Steele from Mayan Palace since May 2015, regarding a timeshare purchase that was made at Mayan, I have stated to Nick that I feel that I have been scammed by Mayan Palace and he has decided to ignore me. It is very disappointing to realize that a company like Mayan Palace does not care about its customers at all.
Due to his lack of attention I started investigating and found out that Mayan Palace has faced a class action lawsuit in the United States, and have hundreds or even thousands of complaints on the internet.
Therefore whilst I highly recommend a visit to Mexico, I advise everyone to watch out for Mayan Palace especially if it has anything to do with timeshares, do not trust them if you do not want to become yet another victim of their lies and falsehoods.

...do not trust them if you do not want to become yet another victim of their lies and falsehoods.

That can be said about virtually any TS sales person. I am sorry to hear about your plight. Unfortunately, we get posts like yours on TUG every week about how someone foolishly bought an overpriced right-to-use membership in Mexico after being subjected to hours of high-pressure, unethical sales tactics.

Just be careful now of the many scams or questionable companies out there that promise to sell or rent out your TS for a king's ransom if you pay them an upfront fee (or tax). The other thing to watch out for is similar companies with wild-sounding claims that they can cancel your timeshare, end your mortgage, sue the salesperson, etc.

raygo123 - Did you know that you can edit typos in your posts by clicking EDIT? It would be helpful for clarity.

I've stayed at the Mayan Palace through an II Getaway and thought the resort was good value for the money. I had no intention of buying but did sit through the sales presentation for the free golf and it was over the top, by the time I got out the door I had to go through 4 different sales reps. There was so much conflicting information about their program among the different reps all I could do was laugh. As was stated the Mayan Palace is far from being alone when it comes to timeshare sales reps lying.
