I saw this movie in Manila last week, of all places. It was great theater with a huge screen, great sound system, comfortable seating, in a modern mall, unlike any theater I've been to in the US for years now. And it was 150 pesos, which is roughly US$3, with reserved seats that you select when you buy your ticket. Over the last few years, I've noticed that movies now open at the same date worldwide instead of opening 6 months or a year later overseas. I guess they are trying to keep up with piracy.

Anyway, it was a fun action packed movie with some great special effects, however, I found the casting of Mila Kunas rather odd. I had to stay for the end credits because I couldn't believe it was really Mila Kunas, but her voice was a dead giveaway. Is it just me or what? What were they thinking?

I remember playing the Max Payne video game a few years ago. I guess I'll eventually see the movie, $3 reserved seats? bargain!
