Got my Maui Schooner maintenance fees in the mail today. No increase!
I've only owner for a few years now but I have been impressed with the way
They have kept maintenance fees down and still keep the resort in great shape.
I'm one happy owner.:D

My compliments to the Maui Schooner. That's the way it should be. I just don't understand 4-5% increases in a zero inflation environment, especially with energy costs way down. At my luxury condo building we are considering a fee decrease for next year. Timeshares should be no different.

So far I have been happy with all my ownerships as far as maintenance fees
Go. Over the last five years my increases have ranged from zero to 4%.
Averaging a little over 2%. Plus, all the resorts have been kept up nicely.
I'm very happy with that.

Do you know what the fee would be for a 2 BR every year for 2016?

With the 2016 social security COLA @ 0.0% and my Blue Cross Insurance up 10.1% I've got to watch my budget.

Thanks, Sterling

Sterling, sounds like the same as last year or within a dollar. I just paid mine and
The AOAO said $395 and $136 for taxes for a two bedroom and the ROA said
$729 for a two bedroom. You could sign in now and it will show up for you.

AOAO and ROA

Why do I have to send separate checks for AOAO and ROA for Maui Schooner maintenance fees and only one check for Alii Kai II maintenance fees if it is supposed to be a Hawaii law?

We only send one check for each of the Marriott properties in Hawaii, although AOAO and ROA have separate budgets. Must be that Hawaii state law requires separate budgets and separate accounting. Maui Schooner must require separate payments because of their own internal accounting system.

The Board did something a few years ago to keep our taxes down. I THINK they carved out furnishings or something and it really reduced our fees from what they would have been if everything had been taxed at the same rate. I am glad to write 2 checks. Small price to pay for a Board who clearly is doing everything they can to keep our timeshare affordable. This is why I sold both of my "name" resorts--Starwood and Marriott.
