I am hoping to use Starwood American Express points for this trip, so I want to start on it soon. Which airport should we fly to? We are staying at Maui Schooner. Thanks,
Liz
The main airport in Maui is Kahului (OGG) and if you're flying in directly from the mainland it is your only choice. There's a second airport called Kapalua (JHM), but it is usually more expensive to fly into it and is only served by small interisland planes.
Maui Schooner is in Kihei so OGG is the more convenient airport anyhow.
By the way, if you can't fly into OGG on frequent flyer miles, it is still a good deal to fly into another island and purchase an interisland flight separately. Honolulu (HNL) seems to have better availability, but Kona and Hilo might work too.
