Does anybody know if the Marriott Maui Ocean Club (all towers incl Napili) have eliminated those very nice single-use shower toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion) yet? We will be at MOC starting Feb. 7 and want to know if we'll need to bring our own shampoos, etc. I realize that these single-use toiletries are apparently being replaced by bulk containers (like in most gyms) and it's a lot more eco-friendly but I kinda really liked those Malie organics toiletries that MOC had/still has?

Also, for those that are still on property or most recently stayed in the first few weeks of 2020, what's the going rate for the Owner's Sales presentation in 2020?

To be clear, that above announcement was made by Marriott International (MAR). I have seen no similar announcement by MVCI yet and they weren't included on the list of property brands included in the announcement. (...and per your request, I didn't quote you... haha). I'm sure someone will correct me if MVCI has announced single use plastic toiletry bans.

That doesn't mean that they won't go this route so YMMV. I echo the OP though, I love those Malie Organic toiletries and take the leftovers home with me.

Thanks. I just remembered reading something about it that pertained to Marriott. Don't own any Marriott properties myself so I'm not dialed in to all that is going on with them.

I have not seen an MVC corporate announcement like the Marriott International one for their hotels, but at least one of our home MVC resorts has announced plans for 2020 to eliminate single-use shower toiletries bottles from the property to be replaced by a more environmentally friendly dispenser.

We are currently at MOC, the original towers, and we received the individual toiletry items. I will inquiry with housekeeping, if they have any idea when/if the switchover will occur.

And we are at Napili and we have the usual individual bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body cream...but I still miss the shower gel that was also provided long ago (still available in the the gift shop I believe).

Thanks for this update! Good to know that we'll still have the Malie toiletries when we're there a few weeks from now.

Any information on my other question? "Also, for those that are still on property or most recently stayed in the first few weeks of 2020, what's the "going rate" for the Owner's Sales presentation in 2020?" Thanks.

I took the $100 resort credit (not an AmEx card - only limited applicability) because I don't golf, and have all the Bonvoy points and Destination points I need. The offer was pretty meager this year.
